After all, 40,000 fertile-aged women are diagnosed with cancer each year. Millions of dollars are donated to research each year, but those funds don’t help the women diagnosed today live their lives. We believe all humans have the right to live the life they imagined. That includes, cancer survivors and their desire to become mothers. Cancer treatment poses a harsh risk to their fertility. Insurance companies for the most part do not help them protect themselves from that risk. Few public adoption agencies are cancer-friendly. And cancer with insurance, costs an average of $40,000 out of pocket expenses in the first year of diagnosis.
